- Story
We travelled from Hazelton to the Skeena River in Northern BC to Victoria, on Vancouver Island, a total distance of approximately 1700 kilometers. It was called Journeys 1997. We carried with us a message of hope to all those who cared to listen. The message was, and still is, that there is a way out of addiction and dysfunctional family lifestyles. We brought attention to the fact that there is an organization called Vision Quest whose goal it is to see a national recovery
centre built in BC to help all people with addictive personalities. With the helping hands of many people, the dream is coming together in the community of Lake Cowichan where the Vision Quest centre will be in operation by the end of the year 2001. The journey is to bring peace and hope to individuals and a knowledge that we carry with us incredible beauty and richness everywhere we go. The dancers in the sky are Peace Dancers and the copper is a symbol of wealth. The colour purple is a healing colour for me.
