When I lived on the beach in Tofino back in the 1980ʼs I was surprised to see the sunrise coming up over the trees behind me. I have friends who live on the inlet and they tell me they have some of the most beautiful sunrises and moonrises.
If you are up early in Tofino and take a walk to any spot where you can look over the inlet you will see the Tofino sunrise and if the tide is low you will also see the heron as they fish the tidal flats for their morning bite.

Tofino sunrise reminds me of my fishing days when I lived in this beautiful town on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Thank you to David & Margaret Rae-Arthur for the inspiration behind this TOFINO SUNRISE.
