WOLF AND CEDAR

There are four clans in Gitxaala, my home village, also known as Kitkatla, B.C. All children are born into the clan or, tribe of the mother. I was born Eagle and it is the first of the series of four clans or tribes as they are also known at home.

The wolf a great example of social order and team work when hunting food. The howl of wolves is one of the beautiful sounds of wild and pristine areas of the coast. Our homes and totems as well as canoes came from the beautiful cedar trees.  Wolf & Cedar is a natural combination of the greatest hunter found in the Great Bear Rain Forest.
