Clayoquot Sunset - ART CARD

Edition Date: 1992
Artist: Roy Henry Vickers
Medium: Art Card
Art Card Size:  5.5" x 7"

Clayoquot Sound is a beautiful wilderness area near Tofino on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. It is named after the Clayoqout people who have lived there for thousands of years. This area is part of the hereditary land of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth Nation who occupy a large part of the West coast of Vancouver Island and the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, USA.

This work is the only traditional wood block print that I have created in the ancient Japanese style in conjunction with a traditional wood block printer from Japan.

The image was donated to a foundation called the Wildlife Rescue Association, whose mandate is to protect the environment and wildlife.
