This is one of the three large mural designs for the Vancouver International Airport, YVR. As architectural advisor for YVR, I was asked to develop a theme for the airport’s renovation and expansion. The theme is land, sea, and sky.
One of the most important crests to the people of the Northwest, the Grizzly holds a special status equal to its power on earth, with no enemies but man. It is associated with man as a crest animal, hence the human faces in the paws. Grizzly represents land.
