Solstice 1996

Solstice and the Christmas season bring many happy memories of the past year and previous years. A few years ago, I began what appears to be a tradition with a creation called December 1993. Last month we had a surprise snowfall and I immediately thought of Saanich Commonwealth Place and the largest totem I have carved to this date. I made a quick trip to the Saanich pool and was inspired to paint this scene. There was excitement in the fact that I was working on a scene depicting another creation of mine. I am reminded of ancestors and friends and the support of many beautiful people who have brought much richness to my life.

I have looked back to the message that went with the creation called December 1993, and read that it was our most successful year as a family; it was signed, Roy, Rhonda, and William. This year our family has grown to four with the birth of Jordan Edwin Roy on April 1. I can say again that this is the most successful year that we have enjoyed as a family. The Creator of all continues to bless us and we look always to our Heavenly Father for guidance. We are thankful for the help of many friends and supporters like you and wish you many blessings.
