Another year is quickly coming to an end. This is a special Solstice for us all, it is the last one of the 1900's and this Winter season will carry us through to the year 2000. This special time brings me much joy and strength as I continue to walk the road of recovery and sobriety, helping all those I can along the way. This life of ours is a journey and it's the travelling as much as the destination that is important.

In November, I visited a friend on his ranch in Kootenai country enjoying meaningful conversation and the warmth of home fires burning. My time with Gord reminded me that it is important to take time to relax and be there for each other, to appreciate nature's bounty and mother earth's beauty.

Two years in a row I have returned to the country of the continental divide to enjoy horses, mountains, rivers and clear high country air. This year's Solstice image is of the first snow in Kootenai country on and around the Koocanusa Ranch. Thank you Gord.
