This is another rare crest among the northwest coast nations. I recall stories as a child that told us if we ate dragonfly wings we would be good swimmers and so we ate them as children. I did learn to swim well as an older child but never thought that the dragonfly wings helped me.

I've thought many times of designing a dragonfly and so this is finally the result. In doing this work I wondered about choices for some of the crests like the dragonfly. I realize that the dragonfly is a powerful example of transformation, which is a recurring theme in all northwest coast mythology.
