Medium: Serigraph
Image Size: 9" x 11.5"

The One Horned Goat is the first legend that was read to me in elementary school, in Grade 4 at Hazelton Amalgamated School. The story is about the local mountain landmark that we call Stegyawden, above the ancient town of Temlaham, which was destroyed by the goats on the mountain because of the cruelty shown to a little goat. The legend has been interpreted and published many times.

My rendition of the goat is one of many that have appeared on masks, as characters on totems, in drawings and blanket designs, and on carved spoons.
