The One Horned Goat is the first legend that was read to me in elementary school. It was in grade 4 at Hazelton Amalgamated School and the story is about the local mountain landmark that we call Stegyawden. The ancient town of Temlaham that was destroyed by the goats on the mountain because of the cruelty shown to a little goat. The legend has been interpreted and published many times. My rendition of the goat is one of many as masks, characters on totems, drawings, blanket designs, and carved spoons.
